About the Awards

The Subsea UK Awards is the subsea industry’s most prestigious awards ceremony, held annually at the AECC in February, and highlights the incredible achievements and innovations of both individuals and companies alike.

At the awards in 2017 Neil Gordon, chief executive of Subsea UK, said: “Despite the continued downturn, these finalists have demonstrated that the UK subsea sector has what it takes to rise to the challenge – identifying ways to improve productivity and deliver much needed efficiencies.

“This ceremony allows us to come together once a year and really celebrate the expertise and pioneering work for which the subsea industry is renowned. These companies have all demonstrated how they are supporting the industry as it adapts to a new environment which can deliver lasting results in the years to come.”

“The Subsea UK Awards is a major event in the industry calendar. Being part of the Subsea UK Awards was beneficial to EC-OG at a time when we were looking to raise our profile. Our nomination for the Innovation and Technology award really emphasised our successes and we were able to gain more client engagement in the industry as a result.

I would encourage any company to get involved as we saw tangible benefits from being involved. The application process is simple, take a look at the categories and find which are the right fit for you.”

– Richard Knox, Managing Director, EC-OG

“Subsea Supplies was delighted to be named a finalist at the Subsea UK Awards. The evening provided an opportunity to celebrate the industry, even during these challenging times. There was also the opportunity to network and find out about new products and services. From start to finish, the event was a fantastic experience for the Subsea Supplies team and our guests.”

– Pauline McCann, Sales Manager at Subsea Supplies

“To win the Subsea UK Global Exports award two years in a row confirms that we are delivering on our global growth strategy. At JDR, we’re positive about the future and will continue to invest in our people, products and services as we move into new markets. Winning a Subsea UK Award is tremendous recognition of the team’s achievements and a industry leading accolade around the world, as we look to continue to grow in existing and new export markets.”

– Carl Pilmer, Global Sales Director at JDR Cables

“We are absolutely delighted to have won the Innovation for Safety Award. It was a really great evening; guest speaker Matt Dawson was brilliant; and Subsea Expo itself was very good for us too.”

– Olivia Gemmill, Commercial Manager, The Underwater Centre
