Optimisation of Thermoelectric Devices for Subsea Power Control and Monitoring System

Abstract:

As the global demand for energy increases, offshore production from deepwater wells also increases with distance and production cost from platforms or floating production systems. Secondly, the present lower oil and gas price environment and emerging green energy technologies are clarion calls for a review in the way we have been operating.

Biography:

Austin Asuquo is a Ph.D. Candidate/Researcher at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. Started his career in the oil & gas industry after a BEng Degree, has held positions of responsibilities. In 2011, he received an MSc. Degree in Subsea Engineering. Among the organizations he has worked for include; Shell, IMPaC Offshore Engineering and a number of consulting companies prior to his Ph.D.
