Presentation starts at: 10:00am

Presentation title:

From mathematical modelling to reliability engineering

Abstract:

STEM subjects find application in a wide variety of industries and professions. From astrophysics, to applied mathematics, to chemical engineering and computational fluid dynamics, the path to reliability engineering for the oil and gas industry is not an obvious or clear one. It requires a multidisciplinary approach and a critical mind which keeps the work interesting and exciting.

Biography:

Brian has a background in applied mathematics and chemical engineering with interests spanning numerical analysis, fluid dynamics, bioreactor design, and more recently reliability modelling. Joining Astrimar as an R&D engineer to support the development of high integrity seal reliability models with the application of qualifying new materials for plugging and abandonment.
