Head of Technology of the UK Oil and Gas Authority,
Thursday 7th February 2019
Revitalising the UKCS
Presentation starts at: 9:40am
This session will focus on the large volumes in UKCS undeveloped fields and what will take to capture this opportunity. Development economics vary significantly depending on resource type, field size, and access to infrastructure, but the industry has shown that these projects can be made commercially attractive through development efficiencies, innovative technical solutions and commercial collaboration.
Carlo Procaccini is the Head of Technology of the UK Oil and Gas Authority, and his remit covers technology and innovation for UKCS, from R&D to field deployment. He has over 20 years of experience in Oil and Gas projects and operations, both in downstream and E&P.
Prior to joining the OGA, Carlo worked for Schlumberger where he worked on projects to improve asset performance in mature offshore basins, both in the UK and internationally. Carlo holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from MIT and is a Chartered Petroleum Engineer.
