Apache developed the Garten field as a tie-back to Beryl in less than a year from the original discovery. The project was both technically very successful and delivered efficiently. The presentation will illustrate the project critical success factors and reflect on its lessons learned.
Hamish Westwater joined Apache in 2018 as the Projects Group Manager. Hamish has over 26 years of varied experience within the UK, Norwegian, French and Korean Oil & Gas Industries in the areas of Project Services and Project Management. Since 2007, he has focused on the overall management of a number of subsea tie-backs and hub development projects. His experience encompasses both brownfield & greenfield developments involving Project Management of FEED Studies, Detailed Design, Procurement, Specialist Sub-contractors, Construction (on-shore and off-shore), Commissioning and Start-up of both topside and subsea elements of projects.
Hamish holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from Robert Gordon’s University and a Post graduate Diploma in Engineering & Construction Management from Aberdeen University. He is a full member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM).
