Subsea UK Awards
Global Exports Award – Sponsored by Department for International Trade
WINNER: Royal IHC Limited
Recognises a company’s successful exploitation of and export to a global subsea market. The judges will base their decision on the company’s export strategy, adaptability to foreign markets and demonstrable success.
Best Small Company Award
Recognises excellence in overall company performance in the subsea sector. The judges will base their decision on the company’s development and impact, as well as plans for the future success of the company. Small companies are defined as having less than 50 employees and a turnover of less than £6.5 million.
Company of the Year Award – Sponsored by Oil & Gas Authority
WINNER: Motive Offshore Group
Recognises excellence in overall company performance in the subsea sector. The judges will base their decision on the company’s development to date, as well as plans for the future success and growth of the company, both within the UK and internationally.
Innovation & Technology Award – Sponsored by Simmons Energy
WINNER: C-Kore Systems Ltd
Recognises excellence by a company in developing new technology and bringing it to the market. The judges will base their decision on demonstrable proof that the technology has increased revenue, provided a solution to an existing problem and complemented the company’s overall business plan.
Innovation for Safety Award
WINNER: JFD Ltd
Recognises an innovation made in a system or piece of technology that has significantly contributed to improving safety within the subsea sector.
Emerging Young Talent Award – Sponsored by SMD
WINNER: Ryan Fernando, Aker Solutions
Recognises someone under the age of 35, who is employed in the subsea sector and who shows significant promise within the industry; an emerging talent.
Outstanding Contribution Award
WINNER: James Milne, Balmoral Group

Subsea UK Awards Dinner Raises Over £5,000 for Charities
Thanks to our generous guests at the Subsea UK Awards Dinner, in 2019 we have raised over £5,000 for the nominated charities, Cancer Research UK, Northsound’s Cash for Kids and Archway.
About the Awards
The Subsea UK Awards is the subsea industry’s most prestigious awards ceremony, held annually in Aberdeen, and highlights the incredible achievements and innovations of both individuals and companies alike.
At the awards in 2019 Neil Gordon, chief executive of Subsea UK, said: “After a number of challenging years for the subsea industry, it is welcoming to see sector growing again. The constant support from businesses demonstrates the industry is looking to progress further.
