SUBSEA EXPO AWARDS
The prestigious Subsea Expo Awards recognise the companies and individuals who are leading the way in the UK’s underwater sectors each year.
If you or your company are shortlisted to win an award, Global Underwater Hub will work with you to produce a short, professional video showcasing your company and its capability, which will be shown to all guests at the awards ceremony. Whether you’re a winner or a runner-up, this can create a huge buzz around your company in the run up to the awards.
There are multiple awards in different categories and you can enter as many as you believe would apply to your company. The awards are free to enter and open to any company operating within the underwater sectors. You do not have to be a Global Underwater Hub member to enter the awards. Each application clearly lays out the criteria for entry and are straight-forward to complete.
Whether you’re a technology innovator, exporting UK excellence to the world, or a nurturing ground for subsea talent, the Subsea Expo Awards are an opportunity for you and your company to demonstrate why our industry leads the world.
The CATEGORIES
COMPANY OF THE YEAR - SMALL | MEDIUM | LARGE
The Company of the Year Award recognises outstanding overall performance by a company operating within the underwater sector.
CROSS SECTOR INNOVATION
The Cross-Sector Innovation Award recognises a company that has successfully transferred, adapted or applied a technology, capability or innovative solution across two or more distinct market sectors.
GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT
The Global Development Award recognises a company that has successfully grown its international business in underwater markets through a clear and effective export strategy.
RISING STAR
The Rising Star Award recognises an individual under the age of 35 who is making an effective and impactful contribution to the underwater sector and demonstrates strong potential to contribute to its future development.
TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT
The Technology Development Award recognises excellence by a company in developing new technology and successfully bringing it towards or into the market.
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE
The Workforce Development Initiative Award recognises an organisation that has demonstrated a strong commitment to developing people through a purposeful learning, skills or workforce initiative.
SAFETY
The Safety Award recognises an innovation in a process, system or technology that has made a significant contribution to improving health, safety or wellbeing within the underwater sector.
OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION
The Outstanding Contribution recognises the outstanding contribution made by an individual to the underwater sector over the course of their career, whether in offshore energy, defence, aquaculture, marine science, underwater cabling or subsea minerals. The recipient of this award is selected by Global Underwater Hub and announced on the night.

AwardS Dinner
The Subsea Expo Awards dinner is an opportunity to join friends, colleagues and peers in celebrating the accomplishments of the industry’s standout individuals and companies. Enjoy a delicious three-course dinner and an evening of entertainment. The dinner is held every year at P&J Live in Aberdeen. Carriages will be available at midnight.
